The City Clerk’s Office is located in Town Hall, 312 Esplanade Street (417-334-3262)The regular working hours for the City Clerk’s Office are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, closed legal holidays.

The City Clerk is the official record keeper of the City. Some of the important records she is responsible for include minutes, ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other vital records. The City Clerk authenticates by signature all ordinances, resolutions, and attests to contracts. She administers the oath of office to elected officials and certain employees. The City Clerk also prepares documents for candidate filing for city elections & certifies election ballots. The City Clerk maintains the custody of the official seal of the city, insurance records, and personnel records & benefits information.
The City Clerk’s Office is responsible for a wide variety of services for the public. The clerks department has a staff of 3 plus the City Clerk.

Municipal Court  Meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 5:00 PM
Accounting for Municipal Court Cases
 Schedule City Board meetings  (meeting dates, agenda, and minutes)
Council Meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM
Planning & Zoning Meets the 2nd Tuesday of every month at  6:30 PM
Park Meets the 1st Monday of every month,  at 7:00 PM
Board of Adjustment  Meets the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM
 Board of Appeals  Meets as needed
Verify date and time of each meeting with the City Clerk. Citizens who are interested in making a personal appearance before a board need to contact the City Clerk prior to a meeting to be put on the agenda.
