The Parks Department is responsible for construction, repairs, maintenance and landscaping of four (4) area park sites;

Downing View Park – located on Esplanade Street overlooking Downing Street has a covered pavilion and playground equipment for small children

Sagers Park – located on the corner of First and Elm Streets has a basketball court, playground equipment, picnic tables and covered pavilion.

Cedar Steps – located on BB Highway at the East end of St. James Street Bridge were constructed in 1936. There are 229 steps and 33 landings with beautiful views and landscaping

CHAD A FUQUA MEMORIAL PARK…located on the North side of Hollister Town Hall is about a .6 mile flat walking trail with resting benches, vintage light poles and resting benches. Commerative and memorial bricks line to walking trail to honor those we love and special events in our lives. For information on how to order your brick called 337-8315.
Downing Street, the historical icon of Hollister, St. James Street Bridge and Hollister Town Hall are maintained by the Parks Department.

Community Development Projects
Adopt a Park Program – volunteer groups assist with litter control and light maintenance

Keeping America Beautiful – area local governments are organized to launch a recycling and litter control program in Taney and Stone County
Recreation Programs
Ozark Mountain Family YMCA administers all City of Hollister athletic programs, health, fitness and recreational projects. Registration and scheduling of events is the responsibility of the YMCA staff. Hollister Parks Department personnel is responsible for all field construction, repairs and maintenance.
